Frost peach
Frost is one of the most well-known cold-hardy peach varieties. Many peach varieties grow well for me in Guelph (zone 6a with the recent Canadian plant hardiness changes), but if you are in a colder zone, I recommend Frost as a good cultivar to try.
The flowers and fruit are a little smaller than other varieties, but the fruit tastes excellent. Its fruit is freestone with yellow flesh.
Disease resistance: Frost is also quite resistant to peach leaf curl, a common fungal disease of peaches. In my experience, Frost gets much less peach leaf curl than any other variety I grow.
Pollination: All peaches are self-fertile, so you need only one to get fruit.
