Haralson was the most widely grown apple tree in Minnesota for more than 50 years because it has outstanding cold hardiness while also being an enjoyable apple to eat.

Fruit: Harvested late in the season, and keeps well in storage. Fruit is firm, mild flavour, great for cider, pies and other baking, and eaten fresh.

Disease resistance: Resistant to fire blight, and moderately resistant to apple scab, rust, and powdery mildew.

Parentage: A seedling of an open-pollinated Melinda tree, with Wealthy as the likely pollen source.

Rootstock: EMLA 106.
